Research Output Survey: Electronic research administration

An electronic system called the Research Administrator (RA) is used for capturing the data required for the annual survey of research output.

RA is a web-based database system to which a contact person in each department/division/centre/bureau has access. At the request of the Senior Director: Research in 2002, this person was designated by the departmental chairperson/head/director and is responsible for recording the research output of the department/division/centre/bureau concerned.

An extensive user guide in tutorial format is available on the RA website whilst an abbreviated version is available on request from Daléne Pieterse.
