What does "Ukwanda" mean?

Ukwanda is a Xhosa word and the meaning can be translated as; "to grow" and "develop" within the  community; to make a positive difference. In keeping with its name, the Ukwanda Centre for Rural Health coordinates and supports training and research initiatives in rural and underserved communities.
