Divisions accommodated in this department are involved in a wide range of educational activities with students on both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
As a result of innovative projects and initiatives, the department's postgraduate student corps has grown to quite an extent. At the same time, the distance and technology mediated programmes utilized by the department, ensured that large numbers of Stellenbosch students were no longer country or campus bound, but hailed from countries across the globe.
