The Division is part of the Department of Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences of Stellenbosch University, Tygerberg Campus. Our clinical services are based at the Gastroenterology Unit of Tygerberg Hospital. A full range of services is offered including diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy (upper endoscopy, colonoscopy and ERCP) and consultation for patients suffering from liver disease. We are actively involved in postgraduate teaching in internal medicine and gastroenterology and hepatoplogy, including the training of fellows from outside South Africa.
