KID CRU comprises of state of the art facilities. We are based in the Tygerberg Academic Hospital on the 8th floor, Ward J8. Upon entering the unit, we have a welcoming reception area and the social workers office.
Further down the corridor we have mutiple consultation rooms, private offices for the adherence monitors/councelors and the patient waiting room. We also have 4 procedure rooms and a filing room for research files. Our pharmacy is temperature controlled as per protocol and adheres to the highest standards.
We also have a boardroom for meetings, training and conferences. Personel offices are situated at the back of the unit. Project managers, study co-ordinators, study nurses, the unit manager, data department and PI do their work from here. Lab technicians are kitted out with the right equipment to process study specimens. This includes a -70 freezer.
