LLB:

Adams & Adams bursary:
A bursary awarded annually by Adams & Adams on the basis of merit and need.

Amicus Fund bursary:                                                                                                                               The Amicus Fund was established by alumni of the Law Faculty. It awards a number of bursaries, usually amounting to one year's tuition fees, to needy students, with preference being accorded to students from historically disadvantaged backgrounds. The bursary is available to students registered for the postgraduate LLB programme or the final year of the four-year LLB programme. There is only one round of applications, usually in September or October. Applications must be made on the prescribed form available at the Dean's secretary.

Judge of Appeal FW Beyers Bursary:
A bursary awarded annually from the legacy of the late Judge of Appeal FW Beyers by virtue of exceptional achievement in the first year of the BA (Law) or BComm (with Law subjects) degree programme.

Buchanan Boyes Bursary
This Cape Town based law firm annually awards a bursary to a pre-finalyear law student who shows the most promise as a future attorney. The award is based on the candidate’s academic performance, extramural activities and character. Interviews will be conducted by representatives of the firm during the first semester of every year. Candidates for this bursary will be designated by the faculty committee of the Faculty of Law.

Cliffe Dekker Fuller Moore Inc Bursary:
The Johannesburg law firm Cliffe Decker Fuller Moore Inc annually awards a bursary to a promising LLB III student on the grounds of merit and need.

Georgala family Bursary
Financial assistance is awarded to students in the final or pre-final LLB year from previously disadvantaged population groups on the basis of need.

Rooth & Wessels Bursary:
The Pretoria law firm Rooth & Wessels annually awards a bursary to a final year LLB student who displays particular promise as future attorney.

Smuts, Kemp and Smal Bursaries:
Two bursaries are awarded annually to two LLB students from previously disadvantaged communities in the final year of study who intend to practise as attorneys. A strong academic record, good inter-personal skills and versatility are prerequisites. These bursaries are awarded from funds made by Smuts, Kemp and Smal Inc. (Bellville)

Stonehage Group Scholarship:
The Stonehage Group, an international wealth management and fiduciary services group, provides financial support for needy students in LLB second, third and final year.

Stonehage First Year Scholarship:
Twelve scholarships, covering full tuition fees, introduced in 2009 as part of a strategic partnership between the Stonehage Group and the Stellenbosch Faculty of Law. The Scholarship is for academically gifted students, in particular those from previously disadvantaged communities, registering for the first year of the BA (Law), B Comm (Law), LLB or the BAcc LLB programs.  Preference will be given to applicants from Bloemhof Girls High School, Kayamandi High School, Lückhoff High School, Paul Roos Gymnasium, Rhenish Girls High School and Stellenbosch High School.

The Link-SA Trust Bursary:
Financial support awarded to needy students from previously disadvantaged communities in the pre-final and final-year class.

Visagie, Vos and Partners Bursary:
A bursary awarded annually to a needy Afrikaans-speaking LLB III student.

Webber, Wentzel Bursary:
The national law firm Webber Wentzel & Co annually awards a bursary to a final year LLB student who displays particular promise as a future attorney.
